Friends | Visit to Paris and Notre Dame Cathedral

Chichester Cathedral Friends are pleased to announce a four-day visit to Paris, including a tour of Notre Dame Cathedral, departing from Chichester Cathedral on Friday 3rd October and returning on Monday 6th October.

Schedule

Friday 3rd October. Early departure (5.15am). Travel by coach, via Calais, by ferry and arrive at hotel approx. 6pm.
Saturday 4th October.  Multi-media tour of the recently restored Notre Dame Cathedral followed by a chance to explore the sights and scenes of Paris. 
Sunday 5th October. An optional guided walking tour of the main sights of Central Paris. 
Monday 6th October. Depart hotel after breakfast and return to Chichester arriving in the late afternoon/early evening.

The cost of the trip is £599 pp sharing a twin or double room with a single occupancy supplement of £93 pp. Price includes breakfast and dinner in the hotel.

Additional important information
  • Payment: You can pay the deposit either by cheque, by card over the phone or by calling into Woods office. The balance can be paid by the above methods, but in addition the bank details will be on the form and you can pay by bank transfer. After paying your deposit, please deal with Woods directly - they are managing the logistics of our trip for The Friends and have all the information concerning this visit and will be pleased to assist you.
     
  • Travel Insurance – This Is mandatory. As Woods Travel no longer provide travel insurance they recommend an independent insurance broker; Robins Row (01243 814710), close to Woods Office. The Brokers suggested an average cost for 4 days might be between £55 - £75 for someone in their mid-70’s - (please note all quotes are individual and are based on your own personal health).  Please complete & return your insurance disclaimer to Woods Travel.
     
  • Passport: Ensure you have at least 6 months remaining on your passport after our trip to France, i.e. it is valid until mid-April 2026. This is an EU legal requirement.  Remember to carry passports on your person on the coach, together with your personal medication and travel insurance documents.
     
  • It is also beneficial to have a Global Health Insurance Card available free from the NHS website.
