Chichester Cathedral is a living church at the heart of Sussex, welcoming over 250,000 visitors each year and offering a vibrant programme of worship, music, events and exhibitions.
You’ll join a small, supportive team at the heart of a busy and inspiring place. Every day brings something new, and your work will help more people connect with what we do.
What you’ll do
You’ll lead on day-to-day content creation and delivery across social media, website, email and print. Working with teams across the Cathedral, you’ll:
- Plan and produce engaging content – from short videos to photo stories and written features
- Keep our digital channels fresh, visual and on-brand
- Support marketing campaigns for events, services, and outreach projects
- Help track performance and use insights to improve engagement
- Be a creative voice in how we connect with different audiences
Who we’re looking for
You’re a creative communicator who loves turning ideas into compelling stories. You’ll have:
- A good eye for design, tone and storytelling
- Experience creating content for web, social and/or print
- Skilled copywriter
- An interest in arts, culture, or heritage
- Confidence working with different teams and contributors
- A flexible, organised approach
Key details
- Part-time: 17.5 hours per week (to be used flexibly, but with a fixed working day of Tuesdays)
- Fixed term: 22 months
- Salary: £13,636 per annum (pro rata for 17.5 hours per week), equivalent to £27,273 full-time (FTE)
- Worth noting: Occasional evening/weekend work to capture content as required
